This symbol is used in occult freemasonry, As seen here, Why is it used in the orthodox churches? A little info about this symbol; it represents the all-seeing eye of the Great Architect of the Universe. It is used within Freemasonry to represent the deity neutrally (in whatever form, and by whatever name each member may individually believe in). It is a Rosicrucian conception of God; what is Rosicrucianism? It is an esoteric(occult) order built on the occultism of the ancient past which was/is concealed from the average man, provides insight into nature, the physical universe, and the spiritual realm. The occult focuses on astrology, alchemy, and natural magic(?). Rosicrucianism is specifically based on the Jewish Kabbalah, Hermeticism, alchemy, and mystical Christianity. Mystical Christianity? Christian mysticism refers to the development of mystical practices and theory within Christianity. It has often been connected to mystical theology, especially in the Roman Catholic and Orthodox Christianity (both the Eastern Orthodox and Oriental Orthodox traditions). “Mysticism" is derived from the Greek μυω, meaning "to conceal", and its derivative μυστικός, mystikos, meaning 'an initiate'. In the Hellenistic world, a "mystikos" was an initiate of a mystery religion. "Mystical" referred to secret religious rituals and use of the word lacked any direct references to the transcendental. In early Christianity the term mystikos referred to three dimensions, which soon became intertwined, namely the biblical, the liturgical and the spiritual or contemplative. The biblical dimension refers to "hidden" or allegorical interpretations of Scriptures. “"hidden" or allegorical interpretations of Scriptures.”? The Bible isn’t a picture book, and there isn’t anything “hidden” about the Bible. God did not hide His word from us. Going by this information we can conclude that orthodoxy is nothing more than a mystery religion. A mystery religion is any religion with an arcanum, or secret wisdom. In a mystery religion, an inner core of beliefs, practices, and the religion's true nature, are revealed only to those who have been initiated into its secrets. Ancient mystery religions of the eastern Mediterranean, for example, generally focused on mythic figures who had descended into Hades and returned or who otherwise exemplified death and rebirth, such as Bacchus, Orpheus, Osiris, and Tammuz. In other words, a mystery religion is a pagan religion. Therefore, orthodoxy is a pagan mystery religion with occult aspirations. Paganism took over the Orthodox Church? The connection between the pre-Christian pagan doctrine of deification and icon/relic worship in Eastern Orthodoxy is obvious. When the pagans took over the Orthodox Church, they brought their belief in apotheosis and their worship of icons/relics with them. The icon worship practiced today in every Orthodox Church was originally practiced by pagans since before the first coming of Christ. Feel free to post any additional information you come across.

The icon worship practiced today in every Orthodox Church was originally practiced by pagans since before the first coming of Christ. Feel free to post any additional information you come across. The term pagan did not derive itself until Christianity was institutionalized, under Constantine, with the term being a dividing point between what is Christian and what is not Christian. Many of the Pagan practices, extended from certain "mystery" schools in certain regions of the world which delved in the intellectual and spiritual questions of existence. Certain "pagan" rituals and prayers have been observed as "Christianized" in scripture: In the book of numbers on method of determining if a woman was committing adultery would be for her to make a statement on a piece of parchment as to her innocence. She would then wash the ink off of the parchment into water and drink the water. If she was poisoned she was found guilty. This same method was used by egyptian priests to determine for memorization. Prayers to Baal were used and adapted into the Psalms: religionthink.com/2007/06/25/psalms-29-give-yahweh-o-gods-give-yahweh-praise/Christian holidays, such as Christmas, were placed over pagan holidays in order to convert the populace to Christianity at a quicker rate while showing Christianity to be the more "powerful" religion. Then you have issues such as the "magi", being of pagan origin, both predicting and being some of the first present at the birth of Christ. Other myths, which originate with the Jews, include "Abraham" being taught certain esoteric secrets by a Philosopher by the name of Hermes Trismesgistus. Then we have examples, such as the aztecs who have had no prior involvement with Christian culture, having a God named Quetzacoatl crucified for the sins of the people. Etc....as there are further examples. Sacrifice is the common denominator found within all religions as the bond between man and God that enables any form of wisdom or understanding to be obtained. Certain philosophers have observed this commonality in religious figures such as: 1)Prometheus who in giving knowledge to man was crucified upon a rock only to have his entrails continually torn from him by vultures. 2)Quetzalcoatl suffered crucifixion on behalf of man. 3)The Tau cross is a universal symbol within Egyptian Mythology, the cult of Mithras, Roman and Orthodox Christianity 4)Odin crucified himself upon the world tree in order to obtain the "runes". 5)One story of Kristna claims him murdered and hung from a tree. 6)Christ's Crucifixion as the "Word of God". Pythagoras observe the nature of the cross as having a qualitative numerical meaning to "10", observed through the Roman Numeral X, with the nature of "10" being a foundational number which synthesized itself back to 1 (as 1 + 0 = 1) much in the same manner Crucifixion universally is observed as a cycle of death and rebirth. It is in this nature of wisdom that an inherent degree of self-sacrifice is necessary as "Of all that is written...love only what a person hath written with his blood. Write with blood, and thou wilt find that blood is spirit."(Nietzsche) The question of paganism is less of either/or, but rather its fullness of truth...in these respects I would argue from a strict logical stance only that Christianity is the fullest considering it observes God as Man and Man as God, through Jesus Christ as the origin.

This same method was used by egyptian priests to determine for memorization.” Sorry that isn’t what happens in Numbers 5. The woman doesn’t write anything and she doesn’t drink water with ink in it after washing the ink off of a parchment. “Prayers to Baal were used and adapted into the Psalms: religionthink.com/2007/06/25/psalms-29-give-yahweh-o-gods-give-yahweh-praise/“This is a huge stretch “Christian holidays, such as Christmas, were placed over pagan holidays in order to convert the populace to Christianity at a quicker rate while showing Christianity to be the more "powerful" religion.” Just goes to show more that paganism took over a lot of early Christianity. Our calendar comes straight from the Catholic Church, the Catholic Church has the same symptoms as the Orthodox Church, they were both taken over by paganism. “Then you have issues such as the "magi", being of pagan origin, both predicting and being some of the first present at the birth of Christ.” Not what it says in my Bible shrug “Other myths, which originate with the Jews, include "Abraham" being taught certain esoteric secrets by a Philosopher by the name of Hermes Trismesgistus.” The Bible says to not listen to Jewish fables shrug “Then we have examples, such as the aztecs who have had no prior involvement with Christian culture, having a God named Quetzacoatl crucified for the sins of the people.” Can’t find anything that says this god was crucified. The cult of Mormonism believes this god resembles Christ, but this is a cult belief. “Certain philosophers have observed this commonality in religious figures such as: 1)Prometheus who in giving knowledge to man was crucified upon a rock only to have his entrails continually torn from him by vultures. 6)Christ's Crucifixion as the "Word of God".” 1)Prometheus was chained to a rock, not crucified. 2)There isn’t anything other than Mormonism that says Quetzalcoatl was like Christ. 3)The Tau cross is shaped like a uppercase T... shrug 4)Some random said in a comment of his own translation of a poem called “Nine Herbs Charm” that “hanging in heaven” would refer to a crucifixion. Quite the stretch there. 5)One story... shrug and hung from a tree, not crucified shrug “Pythagoras observe the nature of the cross as having a qualitative numerical meaning to "10", observed through the Roman Numeral X, with the nature of "10" being a foundational number which synthesized itself back to 1 (as 1 + 0 = 1) much in the same manner Crucifixion universally is observed as a cycle of death and rebirth” Hmm, okay? Interesting, but so what? “It is in this nature of wisdom that an inherent degree of self-sacrifice is necessary as "Of all that is written...love only what a person hath written with his blood. Write with blood, and thou wilt find that blood is spirit."(Nietzsche)” Okay? So? “The question of paganism is less of either/or, but rather its fullness of truth...in these respects I would argue from a strict logical stance only that Christianity is the fullest considering it observes God as Man and Man as God, through Jesus Christ as the origin.” Seems you don’t really understand biblical Christianity if you think that is the main premise/truth of it. A lot of this pure grasping at straws, which is to be expected of since the devil is always trying to delegitimize God and His word to make himself God. That is Satan’s goal, to become God, but it will never happen. Isaiah 14:12-15 KJV [12] How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! [13] For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: [14] I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. [15] Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.

Nachash, Hebrew for "snake", is also associated with divination, including the verb-form meaning to practice divination or fortune-telling. In the Hebrew Bible, Nachash occurs in the Torah to identify the serpent in Eden. Genesis 3:13 King James Version (KJV) 13 And the Lord God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat. The serpent beguiled me = the magician tricked me

Genesis 4: 8-16 (The Sacrifice) 8 And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him. 9 And the Lord said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother's keeper? 10 And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground. 11 And now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother's blood from thy hand; 12 When thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee her strength; a fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be in the earth. 13 And Cain said unto the Lord, My punishment is greater than I can bear. 14 Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the earth; and from thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, that every one that findeth me shall slay me. 15 And the Lord said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the Lord set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him. 16 And Cain went out from the presence of the Lord, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden. (And the Lord set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him. = Tau Cross)

Genesis 4:15 And the Lord said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the Lord set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him. Matthew 27:45-54 Jesus dies on the cross (Jesus dies on the mark of Cain) vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. Romans 12:19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. Revelation 16 And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth. 1 Thessalonians 5:2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night John 3:16 God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (Avenged Sevenfold!)

The funny thing is people think Jesus is only merciful but they have no idea about the other side...neither would they want to find out. It's anything but merciful. Shrug
Romans 12:17-19 17 Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men. 18 If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men. 19 Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord.
