This is modern culture, pure evil. I don't like it at all. It looks to me like the building is throwing up or look like these fries

The contrast is obvious, but there is nothing evident that the modernistic building is "evil" (as you said). What has been said in other posts is, in effect, that it is "ugly". So, it's an esthetic, not a moral issue. The classical style of the old museum in N.Y. city exemplifies Vitruvius' principles of architecture: Firmitas (steadiness), Utilitas (usefulness, so that the form fulfills the needs for which the building is made), and Venustas (Beauty). Of course, we have here the eternal question, What is beauty? or "What is that on account of which something is beautiful?" One answer has historically been, "Symmetry" (which is a geometrical concept) or "Balance" of the two sides", which is related to the concept of the "stability" of a structure. Your picture and Elizabeth's picture of the latest modernistic architecture are good examples of visually "unbalanced architecture" -- hence "ugly (or drunken) architecture". In other fields, such as music, there is an architectural component; however, the specific beauty or ugliness of music (or the progressive sound) has to be defined differently -- as some of our fellow-members may wish to discuss, too.

In other fields, such as music, there is an architectural component; however, the specific beauty or ugliness of music (or the progressive sound) has to be defined differently -- as some of our fellow-members may wish to discuss, too. English is a poor language for discussing this topic. The concept of evil as a fundamentally distinct concept from other forms of badness is flawed view built into the language. In truth, there is only good and bad. We can then categorize types of good/bad like beauty/ugliness and ?/evil. Then evil is just moral badness. Biblical Hebrew has no concept of evil at all, there is just good and bad, and the Hebrew "bad" is translated to "evil" at the whim of the translator. Hebrew is fundamentally correct here because all forms of goodness and badness are correlated. One can easily determine the morality of a culture from its architecture. Overly ornate architecture means corruption. Stark architecture means severe moral enforcement. I could continue with many examples, but the point is that everything produced by a culture is determined by the nature of that culture, so they will all have roughly the goodness/badness of the culture. On the subject of beauty itself, I wrote this: www.mikraite.org/Beauty-tp101.htmlModern culture is pure badness in every form and so everything that it produces is bad. Its morality is evil, its architecture is ugly, and everything else is bad according to its category of badness. Modern culture must be wiped out. All of its members should be slaughtered for the good of humanity, just as Israel was commanded to slaughter the Canaanites.

Seems like some American style of brutalist architecture.

Post pictures where you think the ones who made it could have probably been drunk or something. Like what is this? I think you're wrong here, Elizabeth, these buildings have lots of meanings. Not drunkers, but poets created them. Why poets are so blamed and shamed today? Talented and wise creators are critisezed the most, because of lack of aesthetics. But we have no aesthetic anymore in the World since the World is dreaming about new wars. The building shows many sky-skratchers as fried potato grow from the bigger sky-skratcher. The building shows the chaos and mess. I's say it's not just an example of architecture, but the poetry and sculpture arts.

But these are architecture people who did strange buildings. Like what if there's a fire outside and they can't see it because it's like they have no windows to escape. I wouldn't work in that building. Something dangerous could happen!

The art requires victims I think that any girl would sacrifice her time and comfort to get better look and appearance. I think there's the same.

I agree with Fschmidt that many modern technologies and arts [ modern culture] are bad, however, just to stick with architecture, many modern works are great, such as those of Frank Lloyd Wright: www.architecturaldigest.com/frank-lloyd-wright
