I noticed that @cornbread and Clovis Merovingian slightly mentioned the chosen people in another thread. So who are they to you? I'll mention my answer later

Believers in Christ

Take a look at these verses... 1 Peter 2 9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 10 who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy. Colossians 3 12 Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; 13 bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. 14 But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. These are the things these verses call Christians.... 1) holy generation 2) royal priesthood 3) holy nation 4) His special people 5) the people of God 6) elect of God 7) holy people 8) beloved people Who live in love/bonds of perfection as Christ did

In general, are not just believers in Christ, but people who have gifts from the Spirit of God!

In general, are not just believers in Christ, but people who have gifts from the Spirit of God! There is not scripture that backs this claim

Jews were once the Chosen People, however Christians are the Chosen people, not matter the race.

Brothers who are beloved by God, we know that He has chosen you, 5because our gospel came to you not only in word, but also in power, in the Holy Spirit, and with great conviction—just as you know we lived among you for your sake. 6And you became imitators of us and of the Lord when you welcomed the message with the joy of the Holy Spirit, in spite of your great suffering. Because I have been visited by the Holy Spirit, The Spirit of Truth, in the form of The Teacher, while I was in spirit, I felt very elected/chosen, and I do consider it a gift from God. It is the only reason I became Christian. I still look for clues as to why he visited me, I think it was because I was the most kind hearted male that I knew. Also I used to hate evil with a passion, I used to cry at night saying I swear I'm going to kill these motherfers, and avenge everyone. Which sounds bad but I meant evil world ruler, evil kings, which I now call satan’s followers, and make vows to save the world. I was young. I was like 15 ;p 9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 10 who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy. As I read the passage you have posted I realize it was because I was in darkness, and I now I do proclaim the praises of Him, and that it was out of mercy. My time with Him was the best moments I've had in my life, and I've spent years contemplating the time we have had, in fact I miss seeing him.

In all seriousness, yes Christians are the chosen people. However the problem is when people think that God forgot about all of his promises to the Jews and just left his former people behind like a used shirt and threw them in the trash. He didn't. reasonsforhopejesus.com/are-jews-chosen-people-of-god/

I think either everyone is chosen, or no one. To sort people one from another is just egocentric, narcissistic line. Where should I draw the line?
I didn't see any rules in Nature to show me who is right and who is wrong.
The most stupid feature of any religion is to separate itself from the others. Then they make a decision about someone right or wrong, and hang him at last. Very clever! Foundating by themselves rules, and then judging everyone else. Just bravo logic...
I don't choose people; the fate is the only way to met someone. The fate is blind, but I think it's more clever than to allow myself judging the others for what they've done. Everyone is born equally to the others because our appearance in the World doesn't belong us. We could be different persons.
I never wanted to be chosen; I'd rather be thrown away than to be chosen. Don't be chosen, be chasing!

I think Eugene really sums up how I feel on the post above my original post.
