I know English, Ukrainian, and Russian enough to read them, speak them, and write in them. I learned it from living in two countries and going to a church that does services in multiple languages.
So what languages do you know? How did you learn them?

English through video games, and later some learning - mainly video games. And Polish by being native.

No. I only used it for a while when it was necessary to install one game I decided to buy. And before that I used something known as Xfire, when I played SWAT 4 online. Nowadays I don't have a good enough device to play video games on, and in fact I don't have time neither. I had a lot of time few weeks ago (and before) so I was frequently visiting some ruins, catacombs and other kinds of places with skeletons while playing Morrowind - in Monday I have to go to real graveyard from the Bronze Era, for two weeks.

My native languages are Russian and Ukrainian! The school taught English and not much German! I understand other Slavic languages including Polish!

I only speak English and Macedonian but I understand Slovenian, Serbian-Croatian-Bosnian-Montenegrin (or simply Serbo-Croatian) and Bulgarian. I can speak those language a little but I am not fluent in them. I can understand other Slavic languages too, not 100% but enough.

English: Native
Tagalog: Conversational fluency
Grew up in the US(Suburban Chicago) since I was 3 up until adulthood. I consider American English to be my native tongue. However I did grow up in a Tagalog speaking household because of my parents.
Can also understand a few hundred or so of Spanish vocabulary words but can't hold a conversation in the language. Can also understand bits and pieces of French, Italian, and German.
