Did anyone find this crypto-animal? Oh no; they've sent expeditions to the Congo but so far have found nothing. There's documentaries documenting the search for it that are pretty interesting I think.

Democratic Republic of Congo! As stated by Clovis, Pygmies are stout tribes and have many astonishing traditions which can grasp your attention easily. Also the humid weather and vast forests are potential entities.

Well I swam with 100 or more wild dolphins just a few feet away in Port Elizabeth. I cannot imagine how anything could be better than that. Even better than sneaking into the 'Sarcophagus' of Cheops in the great pyramid when the guide was not watching. In Zimbabwe I was almost stomped by a hippo and then almost eaten by a croc a few seconds later. In the Hogsback mountains I feel pretty certain that I met an archangel, but I was tripping on acid; but then the archangel appeared at that point so that he could stay hidden; knowing I would not really be able to say too much about it, and wanted me to explore my mind too. In the mountains of Nyanga it thunder-bolted every half an hour for 3 days. Man that was exciting. By the time I left, every hair on my body was standing on end. I got charged by an elephant in the Kruger park, and I tried to hide behind a tree that was about 3 inches wide. The elephant stopped and just flapped his ears. Luckily that elephant was a tree-hugger. I also got charged by an ostrich, and the trick is to hold a stick above your head. Then he thinks you are a really big ostrich. It works, no joke. I never had an encounter with a lion, but apparently you should back away in a diagonal pattern, rather than straight backwards. That way you do not stand on your own poop. (That was a joke). Yip. Wouldn't live anywhere else if I could help it.
