My y-dna: J2b2 My mtdna: K2a5
My family came to America at a bunch of different time periods and I don't really know where they all came from... so I can't judge these results very harshly. I just know we're mixed with a bunch of stuff -(I'm assuming the oracle 4's are more accurate in my case so I included them more). Maybe you guys can guess on what my mixture could be... So here are a bunch of random calculators with my parents and I:

DNA tests are interesting, I've done one and plan on doing more. Just know to take the results with a grain of salt. What company did you use? I think I will do ancestryDNA in the next month or two. Or at least that's the plan

Or at least that's the plan I used 23andme and I'm happy with the service. Which is the best choice depends on your goal.

And yeah some suggested 23andme for me but then will need to steal male DNA from family and it's more expensive than AncestryDNA I hear Shrug

I’ve gotten vastly different results from various companies and it just goes to show that we still have a long way to go in DNA testing. I guess these kinds of forums exaggerate the importance regarding results too haha

I'm able to choose the confidence level of my results, anywhere from 50% to 90%. It's set to 50% by default but IMHO that is far to speculative as there is about a 50% chance that it is wrong. Here are my my results: These results are seemingly less interesting than the speculative results. As I increase speculation the unsigned portion goes to European, more specific European regions pop up and "British & Irish" increases significantly. My last name and Y DNA is German and I have traced my male line back. They came over as a family in the late 1700s. People list their birthplace in the census and it seems that I'm basically German/English. As you likely know, these two groups are closely related anyway. Oh yeah, I don't know if I should even believe the non-euro percentage. There are claims that they add these to peoples results. To be honest, a percentage that small does not matter to me anyway. oops, accedently clicked the "quote" button when I tried to edit my previous post because the time was up. I will have to keep in mind that editing is limited on this forum...I wanted to move my post to the proper sub-forum.
