"UK should be more understanding of our position on Kosovo"
President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic received on Wednesday in Belgrade a delegation of the British House of Lords.
According to a statement issued by the Presidency, Vucic and his guests spoke about "regional issues and the European path of Serbia." Vucic "thanked the representatives of the House of Lords for their interest in the problems that the Western Balkans is facing, and pointed out that there are still many important issues on the European agenda of Serbia." He also said he was grateful that Britain was - "despite Brexit" - ready to assist Serbia in the process of EU integration. [???????] Vucic further said he was satisfied with bilateral relations, and "stressed that Serbia is interested in improving and strengthening them further, especially in the field of economy, and in more British investments." "We are ready to continuously strengthen political dialogue at the higher, and the highest level," Vucic said, and "stressed that he expects the UK to show more understanding for Serbia's position regarding Kosovo and Metohija." [Don't expect much.]
Representatives of the British Parliament emphasized that their delegation was in Serbia to collect information in order to better formulate the UK policy towards the Western Balkans after Brexit, and define a modality of activities aimed at contributing to the stability of the region, the statement said.

Who would you vote in Serbia? Vucic is already the "Nationalist Moderate" and less EU fanatic than people like Democrats, Liberal Democrats etc. There is only Seselj right of Vucic. Would you vote for Seselj? He was in Hague though and wouldnt make a good represantive of Serbia though especially not for the west. I think Serbia should integrate into EU but not compromise on good relations with Russia or Kosovo question.

The way I see it is that it should not be a question of whether or not the West and especially British establishment approves. Seselj is the right man for Serbia in my opinion. Unfortunately Serbia is in awkward geographical and political position. So I can understand concerns regarding this from Serbs. I respectfully disagree that Serbia should seek integration into EU, this alone would in real politics compromise good relations with Russia and render Kosovo to not even a question. What is the way forward for Serbia today? Well, Aleksandr Dugin describes Serbia as the westernmost avant-garde of our Eurasianism in one of his essays. Many possibilities may be available later in Serbia's future but for now, it may be wise to be patient and wait for the West including EU to crumble in on itself. Some thoughts: WE CAN SOLVE THE ISSUE OF THE TERRITORIAL INTEGRITY OF SERBIAJust for laughs I had to add this of Seselj making fools of everyone at The Hague.

I like Seselj. I used to be a hardcore Serbian Nationalist in my early twenties. I was a "Chetnik". But then I realised that im not fully Serb and it isnt really the right thing for me, but Im still Patriot and I support good relations with Russia. We should never be in NATO or do anything against Russia.
