Heterochromia (from Greek ἕτερος - "different", "different", χρῶμα - color) - a different color of the iris of the right and left eyes, or the unequal coloration of different parts of the iris of one eye. The heterochromy of hair and skin is also known. It is the result of the relative excess or lack of melanin. This phenomenon can be inherited, and also be a consequence of mosaicism, chimerism, disease or trauma. With complete heterochromia (Greek heterochromia iridis), the color of one iris differs from the color of the other. With partial heterochromy or sector heterochromia (Greek heterochromia iridum), the color of one part of the iris differs from the color of the remaining part. Partial or sectoral heterochromia is less common than complete heterochromia, and is in some cases a consequence of inherited diseases, such as Hirschsprung's disease and the syndrome of Waardenburg. Previously, people believed that heterochromia is the machinations of the devil. In animals this phenomenon is common (among cats, white angora is more common, and in dogs - husky), and in cats such a pathology is often combined with hearing impairment.

This defect is a typical example of interracial mixing! This happens even when parents have different eyes... There is a complete Heterochromia or incomplete (Central) I have a Central:

Not always interracial. Like green eyed white parent and blue eyed white parent can make a kid with one eye green and one eye blue. Worried for myself here
