The descendants Indo-European conquerors in the Near and Middle East: Irano-Nordid!
The name proposed by L. Engel, as a reflection of an intermediate type between Iranian autochthons and mostly Nordic conquerors of the Bronze and Iron Ages. Origin: Occurs from the bright Nordid-CM spectrum of types brought by the Iranian-speaking Indo-Europeans of the Bronze Age, who invaded northwest Asia by different routes: through the Urals and Kazakhstan, through the Caucasus, and through Anatolia. The starting point in all cases was Ukraine and southern Russia. By now, this type has practically disappeared among the local population of Mediterranean and the Asiatic races. Features: In this case, it is more correct to speak not of a single type, but of the reproduction of individual Nordid characters , with a multitude of transitional variants. Nevertheless, it is possible to note some tendencies and distinctive features. The skull is heavy, large, elongated and tall, with a deep occiput. The forehead is wide, with a significant slope in the profile. The face is elongated, rectangular, combining a broad forehead with a relatively narrow middle part; Profile slightly protruding. It should be noted strongly protruding high and narrow eagle nose; great in all respects, he is particularly pronounced in profile. The lower jaw is large and heavy, often with protruding angles of gonial. The chin is deep, but slightly protruding. Some variability of this type is mainly based on the frontal diameter, the upper width of the face and the height of the nose. In morphological terms, the Nordic-Iranian often visually resembles a combination of the Anglo-Saxon type with the Celtic Nordid.
