This is my rough estimate
South Slavic groups: Macedonian 90% Bulgarian 90% Slovenian 20%
East Slavic groups: Russian 70% Ukrainian 40% Belorussian 20%
West Slavic groups: Slovakian 60% Czech 40% Polish 20%

I understand 100% Belarusian. A little bit Bulgarian and other Southern Slavic! Western Slavic understand in writing!

Anyway, in written form understand more than they say! P.S The proximity with the Southern Slavs, probably because of the Church Slavonic language!

Yes, old church Slavonic included many South Slavic words in Russian, although most Russian folks would call them archaic words many of them are still being used in South Slavic languages and they probably originated from here. My opinion is that written Russian is more like South Slavic language than East or West Slavic language. But when you give it the Russian accent and the way Russians pronounce words its no longer the case.
