I’m an Agnostic, I believe religion is something the human brain invented in its early stage of (civilian) development. It was the answer to many unanswered things it had to process. Some kind of coping mechanism.
You see a trend of religions all over the world. They each created their own religions to answer their questions. For example Native Americans didn’t know what Christianity or Judaism was. So they created their own polytheistic religion. That to them was the way they could reason how things were as they were. Same for Viking Scandanavia with Paganism, Ancient Egypt, Ancient Greece and so on. Then you have Eastern religions which center more around philosophical beliefs like Buddhism, Taoism, etc. You have Hinduism. You have Africans who believe the great JuJu at the top of the mountain or whatever. You have Mormons who created a religion very recently compared to most other religions. Finally you have the Abrahamic religions which the majority of the modern world follow. You have monotheistic, polytheistic, Eastern, Western, Abrahamic, etc religions. But the thing that they all have in common was when each civilization was going through their civilian development they came up with a way to answer their questions. All through different times in history in different parts of the world.
All religions can’t be right because they all contradict each other but they can all be wrong.
Believing that there is something else out there greater than us that created this isn’t an illogical opinion. To point at a specific religion with a specific god and holy book is illogical and not plausible in my opinion.

I claim Agnosticism because I feel Atheism unintentionally claims the same ignorance these religions do. The religions claim they know they picked the right god and their holy book is the way. Atheists claim to know there isn’t anything and to me that is a similar type of ignorance. But I am by definition a non believer. But the burden of proof isn’t on us, its on the people claiming to know something exists. That voice and hands existed right (I'm sure you know what I'm referencing)? But how do you prove it? You can't....comes down to faith right? Yes it existed, I don’t believe it can be proven. Yes it all comes down to faith or a lack of faith.

I'm unsure of what you are referencing, but yes, it comes down to faith. Nope, that was to AmericanCharm. He knows what I'm referencing

And in neither case can be proven. So should we not attempt to give the invisible and what can't be proven more regard? Obviously it's something we don't know but what if it needs and wants to be known kind of thing?

I believe that there is something out there but I don't know, if there is, there is, and if there isn't, there isn't. Hopefully I'm wrong about God because I want to believe but I can't bring myself to believe in something I can't see. Hopefully, there is an afterlife, so, I can see my family, friends, and loved ones again, and live in eternal peace.

Doesn’t mean I believe a particular religion and it doesn’t mean I believe in a particular holy book. But I do not deny that their could be something greater than us. I do believe in energy. Whether that energy malevolent and divine or good and evil. I do not know.

But if there is some malevolent unknown energy to us and based on the experience...shouldn't it be sought out for our own benefit?

With no proof and with science there to answer many questions (to those who believe in scientific evidence over religious claims) and at least have the decency to claim they don’t know the answer to everything and they are working on it. What can an individual really hope to find out? What benifit is there really without certainty?

And let's say they can but that still seems in the distant further. Or let's say they'll never be able to find answers to the supernatural. But does our experience make it any less unreal about another existence? Was real to us so it can't be real without science being involved?

No not supernatural answers but answers to things like how the universe was created. I’d like to see how science evolves with the subject of evolution and things like that. I was just wondering what you could really hope to find with just faith or belief?

I'm interested in what NASA can still find. But I was speaking about spritual or religious things that could be out there. Like I doubt science can prove your experience ever or not for a many many years but why do those experience happen? What do they mean? Are they trying to tell us something? Are we supposed to do something about them? I mean not all get them so why only some get them? Like...because if that should we not dig further for answers on supernatural things like whether whether it deals with spirituality/religion?

Like...because if that should we not dig further for answers on supernatural things like whether whether it deals with spirituality/religion? I’m if they ever will you have some people who experience sleep paralysis where the can’t move and see creatures and things and science explains that. It says the hallucinations a result of are rapid eye movement (REM). Sleep dreaming is frequent, but the body's muscles are relaxed to the point of paralysis, perhaps to keep people from acting out their dreams. Researchers have found that two brain chemicals, glycine and GABA, are responsible for this muscle paralysis. Some refute this and say it is supernatural experiences at least in some cases. In our cases I haven’t seen any science that can explain it yet. I do agree we should try to find out more about spirituality. Some people seem to be more in tune with it. Where they have more spiritual experiences for better or worse. Perhaps when you become convinced none of that stuff exists for real you can shut your self off from this. Perhaps the experiences are meant to only happen once, twice, or a few times in your life regardless. Or Perhaps it takes a certain mind set to even experience anything st all. But I’d have to agree that there are things that can’t be proven by science that have to do with spiritual experiences, at least not yet. So if we could find out more about it would be beneficial.
