I've heard that in some countries allowed give names to babies whichever you want. So, names like "Russia", "Dork", "Hell", of like this "БОЧ рВФ 260602". ( prooflink) What do you think about this "idea"? What do you think about those people (who gave their babies such names)?

I think it is rude in most cases. Like I would be offended by my own parents if they gave me the name dork or hell. The name with a number like this one "БОЧ рВФ 260602" is like their thinking of me as an object. Like if they had 5 kids...first kid would be Thing 1, then Thing 2, then Thing 3, etc. Like that's just mean! And I don't like country names and stuff. You'll be stuck in a weird conversation like this...
Hey I'm Matthew! What's your name?
I'm Russia.
Yeah right and I'm the United States of America. If you didn't want me to know your name you could have just told me.

If you didn't want me to know your name you could have just told me. Yeah. And unfortunately not everyone yet has accepted it, because the Apokalips is nearly here, and this "naming" practicing seems to be just an open for the Pandora box. Today they gave all these "weird names" and tomorrow they'll figure something more terrible out. I think that they'll start using bar-codes as a name-codes. For example, one can be named as "107hhP037s", or maybe shorter, and this is the same as prisoners get and this numbers will be instantiating for the real true names. And this is why I think it is important to save our names as pure as possible. Those weird "rituals" which we've been downloaded with are erasing our correct memory.

If I had a kid I'd name him Optimus Prime As a kid I also loved Optimus Prime the most. The character was the real hero. I had both: a toy of Prime and a toy of Megatron. Later to my collection were trapped some other transformers (needless to say I was kinda guru of such toys: dinosaurs, robots, transformers...), and I start guessing about those "decepticones" vs "autobots" war. And I chose decepticones. I've always been on the evil side. Maybe because I was an introvert.. I don't know. However, Optimus Prime had been a hero for me.

In Sudan we have names that are composed of two or three names for example someone may be called "Mohammed" and another "Ismael" and another "Alazhari" and you may find one person named "Mohammed Ismael Alazhari", the three names for one person, though it is very rare.

I think names should be editable. But parents who are off to something odd should at least be questioned about it.

I guess that the effect of any Near East names in most of cases is being tied up with vowels or syllables, i.e. with changing of vowels /the interfixes, I presume/. The number of names is just one of few options. Those parents wanted to ruin the very tradition of name-giving.

Questioning will happen automatically by family and friends. Of course there no interrogation. Editability is just a fetisch of mine. I mean whats a constant when it comes to language?

Shrug1 Huh, it depends on whose their friends I saw some freaks whose friends were expectedly freaks too Aye, nod with you about it – because a language goes beyond, and it's being transformed /in some of its parts/ naturally during its "life". – Btw, by this logic no editability is really needed, because we've already got our names changing.
