Have you ever found yourself on the habit of panning too far ahead the results of your actions? Can you say I’m not guilty, if someone accuses you of living worrying about how will you survive the outcome of the days, weeks, years to come?
Why is it that the mind prefers to slumber far from the place right where is needed, it seems to me that life is what happens while you worry about the future.
The common way to face this problem is, not facing it, to leave it like that and keep extending projections of yourself into the future and analyze every single possibility of what might or might not go wrong in those scenarios.
The evolutive advantage that comes to me for this behavior is the enhanced capacity to stay out of danger, but always at the expense of missing something.
So how about finding the perfect balance between planning and living, how to find the right path, without letting your mind run amok?

You mean it's best to live in the present and not try to worry about what's to come?

I mean, being capable taking control of the chatter we hear on our head, because one way or another you can decide on a plan of action (taking care or worrying about the future), but once it is decided, i can take the actions towards it, being fully focus and present, or i can be distracted by fears, one way or another i'm walking towards a goal. But how come it seems so hard sometimes to control your " mental stream "

But how come it seems so hard sometimes to control your " mental stream " Makes sense and I agree. The reason I think it's hard t[ control our mental stream is because our brain is very complex and it has a lot of things that it's doing all at once. I guess it's like a computer with a lot of tabs open so it makes it difficult to focus or control our thoughts. Unless you have other ideas about why

Yes Thank you, that gives me a hint towards the answer, i believe the thing we can do to ease that stream might be to close some tabs... End some tasks, and free some ram memory and start working from there, even if it seems hard something can be worked out

Studies even show people just keep themselves too busy these days than they did in the past. This busy schedule just has them all over the place and studies say they even postpone having children or none at all because life makes them too busy that they can't slow down and relax but are always running around. We need more relaxation. Our health needs it too.
