They can't survive the landing. You need certain elements present on the moon to be able to live. We just have dead tardigrade bodies on the moon. They'll disappear eventually.

On previous space missions, tardigrades were exposed to the open vacuum of space some were able to live for a period of time. Who knows? Maybe some of them will manage to survive and build their kingdom in the moon. :D

Are we sure they're dead? "Dead" means - no sign of move. And tardigrades demonstrate us no signs of moving while showing no sing of cadaveric decomposition. And as a famous writer once said:
“That is not dead which can eternal lie, And with strange aeons even death may die” - H. P. Lovecraft "The Nameless City".
One day an army of tardigrades will attack the Earth and there will be a honorable battle, and the heroes will demonstrate its strength and braveness.
