I have seen 'Julia X' (2011)... Damn it. The movie is scary, but one of the stupidest that I've seen in my life. I was hope to see something really interesting and good. Anyway, the film is worth to be seen.

*** Just returned from the cinemas after catching the all new "Avengers: Infinity War" flick! And my oh my this installment was quite intriguing, all personalities and events in the film intertwining seamlessly into one cosmic universe and it was indeed incredible to witness and behold. Thanos as a villain is monstrous and intimidating with menacing disposition amongst an eloquent hyperbolic parlance. I found the mumbo jumbo regarding the nature of the universe rather mystical and quasi-Buddhist with subtle quantum overtones reminiscent of Oxford colleague chatter. The action doesn't disappoint either, with karate warrior-like combat scenes and mesmerizing space expeditionary incursions. The pace of the movie is never boring with plenty of funny comedic lines and dialogue. The integrating of all the characters from differing Marvel universes brought an eclectic vibration of diversity akin to a kind of balancing act of hormonal chemistry within the egocentric network. And good lord are Scarlet Witch and Gamora hot as fsck must I say. The element of realism and CGI prowess doesn't disappoint either.. Worlds and civilizations apart envisioning want of utopian resplendence and splendor. And The Hulk and Iron Man are f-in hilarious as toast rofl, with even each single Marvel character exuding a very vibrant distinct persona and aura in impressions formed. I of course to superlative extreme had fond appreciation for the whimsical substance and way in which the plot intrigue involving the omnipotence granting infinity stones followed through towards all of my five senses! All-in-all this movie was very captivating and entertaining indeed!.... 9/10 ***

In the comics Thanos is a nihilist obsessed with death and in love with the female personification of it Mistress Death. The whole killing half the universe thing to restore balance was Mistress Death's motivation. Thanos just killed half the universe to try to win her love (he'd probably kill everyone if given the choice.) Thanos in the comic doesn't ever believe he's doing anything noble or altruistic. He is an absolute monster who revels in death and destruction and if he has any motivation at all its either to kill as many people as possible in sacrifice to Mistress death and win her love or to destroy the entire Universe. Thanos is one of the most interesting characters in comics because of these character traits and instead they just turned him into some kind of knights Templar who's doing evil in the name of the greater good.

True, his motivations in the movie calls for a lack of imagination. He could have just expanded the universes' resources on gaining the stones. He would probably like inferno's villains! But, atleast for me, his motivations in the comics are just like that of a mindless zealot. Its like the sacrifices of the olden days just in a massive scale.... That to some( me and perhaps some of those who just watch the movies) might have been unappealing..

That to some( me and perhaps some of those who just watch the movies) might have been unappealing.. I don't think that zealotry accurately describes Thanos in the Comics. A zealot believes in something so much that they are willing to go to horrible lengths in the name of that belief. That's Thanos from the movie. Thanos from the Comics believes in nothing; he's a Nihilist. The murders for the sake of mistress death are not sacrifices to a god. Thanos is literally in love romantically with Mistress Death who is really just death in the Universe given human form. Thanos murdering untold trillions is an attempt to impress and win the cold heart of Mistress Death. He is literally courting death. This was alluded to in the end of the original Avengers movie after the credits. Why they took this element out of the MCU when they so clearly alluded to it here I'll never know.
