...technology? Technology seems a common factor from what I observed. My students tend to lose focus and struggle with paying attention when technology is involved. Without it they do better. It's true with me even. I pay more attention without my technology.
A good correlation?

I'm really not qualified to state whether it can be linked specifically to ADD as a diagnose, but a mind that is used to constantly being distracted, will not learn how to focus and hold on to a thought. Reasoning requires the ability to maintain focus. Keeping the brain continuously stimulated with either superficial communication or online entertainment, leaves the mind fragmented, without any inner sense of continuity. This will be consciously experienced as a lack of sense of meaning and purpose.
