There is an obvious bias and double standard being protruded from the media(more than just US media) and the left(American politics and those who align with it). What are your thoughts on this?

I heard for a while that this attack happened because Islamists took revenge because of what happened to them in New Zealand. I knew that that idiot shooter would just cause people to kill back. But why did they target churches and not white groups only? It's not fair. I'm not for revenge but if you're gonna take revenge then don't do it on random people who had nothing to do with what happened to you. And yeah people seem to defend them. How does 2 wrongs make things right? New Zealand shouldn't have happened nor should have Sri Lanka killings. Now it might just escalate further.  But yeah people need to stop defending any and all murderers. This means in all religions and stuff. Don't make things worse by adding to the problem. |

What IS the point of this post? I am a lapsed Anglican maried to a Sunni Muslim, and we are both horrified by terrorism. Maybe they don't want to use the word 'Christian' because it has been appropriated by small-minded bigots with a chip on their shoulder. I think your claims for comparative casualties is wrong: 1,455,590 Iraqis were killed in the Americans' oil wars and I don't recall many of them being rastafarians.

I'm not sure what you mean by this. Maybe I am just misunderstanding you, but if you're going to start off by making generalizations and lumping people who call themselves Christians all under one label, then why can't I do the same with all Muslims? <---This is exactly why this post was made. If that is what you are trying to do, you are being an example of what the video and I am intending to point out; obvious bias and double standards. For some reason you think the American government is controlled by Christians and the American soldiers that went over to Iraq were Christian, that is, Christians who actually follow the Bible and the teachings of Christ, not people who call themselves Christian. I guess you wouldn't mind if I went ahead and assumed Saudi Arabia or Islamic Jihadists are an actual representation of Islam then, would you? |

That would be a weird reason for revenge, because the guy who attacked the mosque in New Zealand wasn't Christian and never claimed to be Christian. In his manifesto he claimed that he was more aligned with the beliefs and policies of the Chinese government and wanted to get rid of all religion, which is more of a Marxist ideal. My guess is, since Muslims tend to think Christians are pagan, they used that as a reason to attack them, and of course that doesn't make it right. Idk if it will escalate further, I can only see this as an attempt make all Muslims seem bad. |

I'd say there are some provocateurs here (as always). It's certainly something to get relationship between religions worse.
Actually, Muslims and Christians are suffering from it. However...
Real Christians are supposed to be more polite (as we were during the history), and Muslims are less polite. - Because there are orders in Koran "not to deal" (for pol-corr I said it softly) with the other religions, while the Bible show us something different - to love our enemies. Under neutral circumstances Muslims would start attacking Christians firstly.

I HAVE NOT HEARD FROM THE PEOPLE WHO ATTACKED SRI LANKA THEIR REASON FOR DOING SO.
WHO ARE WE SUPPOSED TO BELIEVE KNOWS WHAT THEY DID IT FOR?
WHAT DID THE PEOPLE BEING ATTACKED DO BEFORE?
LOOKING AT VIDEOS IS NOT THE WAY TO LEARN ABOUT PEOPLE. AND WE HAVE SOMEONE CLAIMING THAT ANOTHER PERSON GOT THEIR FACTS WRONG TALKING ABOUT OTHER PEOPLE. WHAT IS A FACT AND HOW TO DETERMINE THAT THE CLAIMED FACTS TO ARGUE AGAINST ANOTHER'S CLAIMED FACTS ARE VALID?
THIS STUFF SOME US HAVE BEEN TAUGHT IS NEWS REPORTING.
