During the exile of the Pandavas, Krishna visited them to enquire about their welfare. He spent a night with them. The Pandavas had to undergo untold suffering during their exile. As Draupadi was also with them, they would keep vigil in turns for one hour each, every night. Krishna also volunteered to keep vigil for one hour. Dharmaja wondered, "When You are the protector of the entire universe, what is the meaning in your standing sentry for an hour to protect us?" Yet he cautioned Krishna: "Krishna, beware of the devil - my brothers and I encounter it every night. On many occasions it has tried to attack us. Therefore, we pray to you not to do a turn in guard duty. You have come to enquire about our welfare. We should not put you in danger. Kindly take rest." Krishna replied, "Dharmaja, is this what you have understood of my divinity? On the one hand you extol me as the protector of the entire universe and on the other you are apprehensive that I cannot protect myself. You are worried that the demon will harm me. Rest assured that no demon can touch me. Therefore, permit me also to join you all in doing the security duty." Having completed one-hour duty, Krishna sat on a rock and was smiling to himself. It was Arjuna's turn next. He rushed to Krishna, a bit worried that the demon might have attacked him. Seeing Krishna smiling, Arjuna fell at His feet and enquired whether he had vanquished the demon. Krishna replied, "Arjuna, I have never created demons and evil spirits. Then, how can the non-existent demons appear in the forest? The demon you are talking about is not a demon at all. It is just a reflection of the evil qualities within you such as hatred, anger and jealousy. The anger in you is manifesting as the demon. Its power is increasing in proportion to the intensity of anger in you." The evil qualities of man are the real demons troubling him today. Man is under the mistaken notion that demons exist and that they are responsible for his suffering. This is all nothing but imagination and psychological fear. Only man puts another man to suffering; there is no demon as such. There are no demons and evil spirits in this creation. Arjuna realised the truth of Krishna's words and thereafter did not encounter the demon. Arjuna was beholden to Krishna for the revelation. He fell at his feet and expressed his gratitude. Good and bad are man's own creations.

Good and bad are man's own creations. Demon: Undirected energy not given boundary or form resulting in chaos. Synonymous to the ego as the unactualized portion of the self, or the unconscious shadow as the "potential" nature of the person. Where men, and women, are unable to direct themselves in such a manner that is gives structure to the individual and/or the society through which the individual exists, this energy (whether mental/emotional/physical) becomes a chaotic force resulting unrestrained vices. Good article.

Well first of all, do not separate Him from all the other Gods. In Sanatana Dharma which really isn't a religion, it is understood that God is one and He is omnipresent. If you wish to limit it to a religion then call it the religion of Love. Hinduism is another name but I don't really like it so yea. When He puts on the cloak of Maya(illusion) and descends into the material realm, He comes with one purpose, that is to enlighten humanity. His teachings are Truth. What He teaches can be found as the basic principles underlying all religions of the world. All religions teach one basic discipline - the removal of the blemish of egoism from the mind, and of running after trivial joys. Every religion teaches man to fill his being with the Glory of God, and evict the pettiness of conceit. It trains him in methods of detachment and discrimination, so that he may aim high and attain liberation. Believe that all hearts are motivated by the one God; that all faiths glorify Him alone; that all names in all languages and all forms man can conceive denote the one Supreme Being; His adoration is best done by means of love.
Cultivate that attitude of Oneness, between men of all creeds, all countries and all continents. That is the message of love, I bring. That is the message I wish you to take to heart.”
Within S.D. religions are interpreted quite differently. Baba does not try to mould men in the crucible of any cult. He does not prescribe any single spiritual exercise or peddle any patented panacea to cure the ills of men.
On 4th July 1968, to a large gathering in Nairobi, Kenya, the most recent Avatar, known as Sathya Sai Baba said the following,
“I have not come to speak on behalf of any particular Dharma (religion), like the Hindu Dharma (Hindu religion). I have not come on any mission of publicity for any sect or creed or cause; nor have I come to collect followers for any doctrine. I have no plan to attract disciples or devotees into My fold or any fold. I have come to tell you of this Universal unitary faith, this Atmic principle (principle of the spirit), this path of love, this Dharma of Prema (nature of love), this duty of love, this obligation to love.”
“Let the different faiths exist, let them flourish; let the glory of God be sung in all languages in a variety of tunes. That should be the ideal. Respect the differences between the faiths and recognize them as valid so far as they do not extinguish the flame of unity,” Baba says.
"Religion is of immense help. All religions, all faiths are but phases or facets of the same Universal Faith and Discipline. It is like the story where seven blind men who examined the elephant and described it to others. The man who held the tail in his hand said it was a snake; the man who felt the leg said it was a pillar; the man who examined only the ear swore that the elephant was like a winnowing basket. This story has a deep inner meaning. The Atma (spirit) is one, but, each one sees a fraction of it and judges it differently, while it is the integrated sum of each of these facets that constitute Reality." - Baba

Hinduism came from India if I'm correct. So did Krisha originate from India as well?

I wouldn't say it originated from India. It was more pushed onto them by others. During the Greek period of history, Greeks and West Asians used the term Indu/Hindu with reference to the people living beyond the banks of the River Indus, and later the name began to be ascribed to the religion/culture of the land also. 'Hindu' thus has only a geographical connotation and derivation. But the teachings it encompasses originated from there. Yes Krishna was born in India.

Krishna replied, "Arjuna, I have never created demons and evil spirits. Then, how can the non-existent demons appear in the forest? The demon you are talking about is not a demon at all. Arjuna realised the truth of Krishna's words and thereafter did not encounter the demon. Arjuna was beholden to Krishna for the revelation. He fell at his feet and expressed his gratitude. Good and bad are man's own creations. This is very insightful psychologically. External demons or negativity have origin actually in our own mind, though we keep firefighting outside instead of cleaning up the dirt of unconsciousness in our own mind. Obviously smart work is better than hard work, and it is better to clean the inside rather than keep firefighting on the outside on multiple points and areas.
This wisdom is also highlighted in many religions and by various enlightened masters...
The greatest Jihad is the Jihad against one's own self. - Prophet Muhammad
Awareness is the greatest agent for change. If you get the inside right, the outside will fall into place. Primary reality is within; secondary reality without. ~ Eckhart Tolle
Stop being tense about the external situations. Once the inside of a person is clean, then the outside automatically becomes all right. - Mata Amritanandamayi
In the realm of mind, like attracts like. If the soul is peaceful, then it attracts peaceful environment and people around it. - Sri Sri Ravi Shankar
Set your mind right and all will be right. - Nisargadatta Maharaj

Brahmin VerminThe lesson is to become slaves to the Hindu caste system, suffocating the potential of the race and limiting its recognition to those who have no need to develop their own.

You are correct. Anger, hatred and jealousy are but a few negative traits we will succumb to on our paths to God. We must rid ourselves of such, but in order to this, one must first have faith in God and possess the realization that such qualities are tests given to us by He Himself. Without negativity how can we fully appreciate positivity? So He uses it for our benefit. We must accept such suffering as His blessings, for it will refine us, make us mentally stronger and more eligible to enter into the next stage of evolution via liberation.
