www.mikraite.org/Is-the-Old-Testament-obsolete-tp1953.htmlI don't mean that the Old Testament is obsolete because its ideas no longer apply. I mean that the Old Testament is obsolete because we are now living in an idiocracy where almost no one has the intelligence to understand it. Judaism and modern Christianity have no idea what the Old Testament is about. But Jesus and Muhammad clearly understood it. I think even Christians during the Enlightenment (1600s and 1700s) had a fair understanding of the Old Testament. But we seem to be living in the most stupid time in history. This may be partly because of the dysgenic effect of modern culture. But also because of the brain damage caused by excessive use of electronics by children. Whatever the reason, the drop in intelligence that I have seen in my lifetime has been unbelievable, and this may well render the Old Testament obsolete. Religions can be categorized by whether they work for smart or stupid people. Islam, Judaism, and traditional Christianity work for both. Modern Christianity and modern Western culture only work for stupid people. The Old Testament, by itself, only works for smart people which is why it never produced a popular religion. But as a part of the traditional Christian Bible, the Old Testament was undoubtedly appreciated by smart traditional Christians. Today there is no one left to appreciate the Old Testament. I think it is time for me to accept this fact.

PISTON1246It said he wrestled with God. And Jesus is God to a Christian in OT and NT. God has other names too of course You don't need to believe that Jesus is an eternal God it's fine. But it says Jesus always existed because He's God. See below. Another name for Jesus is Word because He's the Word of God. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1 The same was in the beginning with God. John:1:2 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. John:1:3 And here it says the Word (God) became flesh. So God became human. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John:1:14 A human isn't God. God is a Spirit. But God can turn into things. He's Almighty. Angels are spirits too the bible says but they also turned into humans to talk to people. And as I already mentioned God became human in OT to wrestle with Jacob. And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day. Genesis:32:24 And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: for I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved. Genesis:32:30 There is one God. And He's Almighty and powerful enough to turn into a human as His angels do. It's proof in OT and NT.

THE QUOTES YOU HAVE IN THE OLD TESTAMENT GENESIS SAY JACOB WRESTLED WITH A MAN AND THEN JACOB SAID HE MET GOD FACE TO FACE. SO JACOB REFERRED TO SOMEONE AS GOD. WHEN JACOB ASKED THAT PERSON WHAT THEIR NAME WAS THEY ANSWERED ASKING JACOB WHY HE WANTS TO KNOW HIS NAME. HE ALSO SAID JACOB OVERCAME GOD AND MEN BUT DID NOT IDENTIFY HIMSELF AS EITHER GOD OR MAN. WHERE IN THE OLD TESTAMENT DOES IT SAY GOD TURNED INTO THINGS? OR THE ANGELS TURNED INTO HUMANS?

DO YOU EXPECT TWO DIFFERENT RELIGIONS TO AGREE WITH EACH OTHER? DO YOU ONLY READ CHRISTIAN GOSPELS? YES THE "NEW TESTAMENT" IS USED BY CHRISTIANS. IN THE GOSPELS OF MATTHEW AND MARK AND LUKE AND JOHN THEY TALK OF JESUS LIFE BY HIS ACTIONS AND HIS WORDS. THE OTHER BOOKS IN THE NEW TESTAMENT ARE NOT GOSPELS. I BELIEVE GOD IS SOMEONE WHO WILL NOT AND HAS NOT DIED BEFORE. CHRIST PEACE BE UPON HIM HAS DIED ACCORDING TO SCRIPTURE AND THAT MEANS HE IS NOT GOD TO ME AND I THINK HE IS WHERE OTHER HUMANS WILL BE SOMEDAY WHEN WE ALL DIE ON THE LAST DAY. JESUS PEACE BE UPON HIM SAID HIMSELF IN MATTHEW I THINK THAT HIS "FATHER" IS GREATER THAN HE IS. IF CHRIST AND GOD ARE THE SAME PERSON THEN HOW IS ONE GREATER THAN THE OTHER? THIS MAKES NO SENSE TO ME. I am debunking certain claims about Christianity, Christians and the Bible that Islam makes. PISTON1246 said Why? PISTON1246 said The Son is the offspring of The Fathers thought. God's perfect image of himself when he thinks about himself. The same way, the Holy Spirit is a procession from God's love as the Son is a procession from God's intellect.

An Easter tribute from the Wisdom of Solomon that is a warning to those who ignore or despise virtue and a reminder to those who love virtue & the Lord:
Chapter 5
1 Then the just man will take his stand with poised confidence to outface his oppressors and those who made light of his sufferings. 2 At the sight of him they will be shaken with fearful terror, and will be astounded at the unexpectedness of his deliverance. 3 Remorseful, each will say to the other groaning and gasping for breath: 4 "This was the man whom we once held in derision and for a byword of reproach, fools that we were; his life we accounted madness, and his end without honor. 5 How was he reckoned among the sons of God, and how is his portion among the holy ones? 6 We strayed, it seems, from the path of truth, and were not illumined by the light of justice, and the sun never rose for us. 7 We were entangled in the prickles of lawlessness and destruction, and made our way through trackless wastes, but the Lord's highway we ignored. 8 What good was our arrogance, and what did wealth and false posturing bring us?"...
14 For the hope of the godless is like down flying on the wind, and like thin frost swept before a howling gale, and like smoke which the wind scattered, and like the memory of a guest for a day it passed through. 15 But the just live forever; their reward is in the Lord, and the Most High has them in his care.

The OT will never be obsolete while the religious among us quote text from it and enjoy doing so, only the devoutly religious like to hear it. I personally dislike people who quote text religiously and can see this as part of the reason/s why people don't like attending church, people tend to use church primarily as a meeting place.
I see the generation as a type of instruction and where to find things.
In the story of Adam and Eve I see several different things from two types of serpents to a cure for a snake bite.
The story of Noah and the Ark is a set of instructions to find the animals, for instance the two serpents, one serpent relates to the animal and the other the star formation
The Bible creates a world within its own texts So when you read ground as in dust and what the serpent travels on you are creating the heaven below into the same way the serpent can be the serpent in the stars now creating the heavens above.
When its all put together it pretty much explains itself.

I have indeed done that and I was taught it by God. I have given you the proof. You're making the 'Argument by Repetition' fallacy. All you have done is made a few statements which I already debunked. prophettom said Christians don't follow Old Testament laws, which were meant for the Israelites'. They were not meant to be followed by the Christians. For example, Christians don't circumcise their children like the jews do, which is a requirement in Old Testament law. prophettom said I have already debunked this claim. You keep repeating the same thing again and again, when you do that you make the 'Argument by Repetition' fallacy. Mathew 5:17 17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. Right here Jesus says it himself. He has not come to destroy the law i have proven Evil and of the flame full of serpent sign But he came to fulfill it and empower it. From his own mouth! Mathew 8:2-4 2 And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. 3 And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed. 4 And Jesus saith unto him, See thou tell no man; but go thy way, shew thyself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them. right here he empowers the evil in the ten commandments as holy and of God! So be that hypocrite no more!
You have debunked nothing. all the disciples said you must follow them too. Fantasy land and illusions of what was said wont get you out of this one ace!
