What is your favorite culture to study and your least favorite? Basically which culture do you gravitate towards the most and which culture is just uninteresting to you?
For me, my favorite culture to read and study about and that I gravitate to are ancient Germanic cultures; all of them. Whether it be continental Germanic tribes that invaded and destroyed Rome, the Vikings, or the Anglo Saxons I love their whole heroic warrior outlook on life. I love their languages, their mythology, the literature they produced (Beowulf being my favorite), quotes attributed to them, their weapons, architecture (mead halls) etc, everything. Reading about Norse Mythology (which was practiced by all Germanic peoples) is very fascinating and are my favorite myths to read about.
My least favorite culture is Native (North) American culture. I find their culture bland and uninteresting.

My favorite culture to study is Ancient Athenian, with Old Testament culture a close second. I love the Ancient Athenian combination of thought and action. Fighting battles during the day and then debating philosophy at night seems like a virtuous life.
I don't have a least favorite because if a culture doesn't appeal, I just don't learn enough about it to judge it. Unfortunately I know more about modern American culture than I would like to because I am currently living in this cesspool, so I guess that is my least favorite.

what else for me, the culture of people who came here and became indo aryans. Along with that, i also love norse mythology, because, the hymns of rig vedas and poetic eddas have similarity, though vedic people came here long time back, so lot of things in hinduism also got altered.
Least interesting for me has been the culture of east asia, I have no idea about their civilization. Especially, the japanese and chinese.

China and Japan are interesting for me...although Japan is too isolated!

My favorite is Vikings, Anglo-Saxons, Normans, Spainards, and Germanic Barbarians. My least favorite would be ancient Egyptians, Moors, Romans, and Greeks.
