Young Earth creationism (YEC) is a form of creationism, a religious belief, which holds that the universe, Earth, and all life on Earth were created by direct acts of God less than 10,000 years ago. Its primary adherents are Christians who subscribe to a literal interpretation of the creation narrative in the Bible's Book of Genesis and believe that God created the Earth in six 24-hour days.
In contrast to YEC, old Earth creationism (OEC) is the belief in a metaphorical interpretation of the Book of Genesis and the scientifically-determined estimated ages of the Earth and Universe.

I believe this...since scripture tells me it Shrug
Exodus 20:11 For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.

Scripture seems to hint at a young earth but I've no verse to give right now as I did with the 6 day verse that I did have. I'm still thinking young earth but don't care to fight/debate on it kind of thing Shrug Also oldest tree alive today is a little over 6,000 years Shrug

I don’t identify as any of those. I just believe what the Bible says, and it says 6 literal days and more than once it says this; I don’t see how the creation account in Genesis could be interpreted metaphorically. It says evening, morning, number, day and 6 times it does this. Long periods of time(thousands of years, millions of years, etc.) don’t have an evening or a morning. As for the science, I don’t care for it. Science has been changing the age of the earth constantly, it’s never consistent: they keep adding more and more years. There’s an saying they have, it goes something like “given enough time, anything can happen, no matter how improbable”, but this statement is very untrue and very misleading. For example, could we randomly generate the short, 12-line poem “The Arrow and the Song”? Assume we had a trillion other universes, each the size of our known universe, and each one filled in all directions with supercomputers running around the clock. Assume that each supercomputer calculated for a trillion times longer than the assumed age of our universe. This is still not enough time to generate this short, 12-line poem. Generating more complex works randomly, like entire books, is simply not supported by math or science.

For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.( Exodus 20:11) But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.(2 Peter 3:8)Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation of things.(2 Peter 1:20) For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.(2 Peter 1:21)
And there are much more verses that reveal me things that i honestly believe, but all of those things are personal interpretations.
