Just as cute pair unknown and Eodnhoj7 share a thread to discuss philosophy together, so Dk and I plan to share our own discussion too. Please refrain from comments here. You can make your own threads based off stuff here for your own separate discussions.

Yes, the Trinity is made apparent all throughout the Bible, starting with the verse you quoted from Genesis 1 and into Genesis 3 where He also refers to Himself in plural form; Genesis 3:22 And the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever: God refers to Himself in plural form again in Isaiah 6; Isaiah 6:8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me. There is a Trinity of Father, Son, and Holy Ghost(Spirit); Matthew 28:19-20 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Jesus Christ is the Son of God; 1 John 5:20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life. And is the Son of the Father who is God; 2 John 1:3 Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love. Jesus Christ is the Word and the Word is God, as verified in John 1; John 1:1-2,14 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. And to further verify we know Jesus is God and has been there since the beginning, John 8 says; John 8:58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. ...which correlates with this verse in Exodus 3; Exodus 3:14 And God said unto Moses, I Am That I Am: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I Am hath sent me unto you. And the Holy Ghost(Spirit) of course, which comes from the Father in heaven, but sent in Jesus's name and by Jesus, is also God; John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. John 15:26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me: Ephesians 4:30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. 1 Corinthians 2:10-11 10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. 11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. Anything to add? Yes, this very first verse you quoted reminded me of something. Genesis 3:22 And the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever: God said we (humans) became like Him (like God). Now by this He didn't mean like Him as in His image but like Him by having the knowledge of good and evil since humanity sinned right before. They were limited to knowing only good but with sin they had more knowledge and God is full of knowledge so we became more like Him in knowledge only but not in His image being corrupted in sin. This is evident here when Jesus reminds them that they became like gods by knowing good from evil. He didn't actually mean we are literally gods but having knowlege of good and evil like God has. John 10:33-38 The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God. Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods? If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken; Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God? If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not. But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him. In the verses above the Jews tried to make Him look like He was doing evil by saying He was the Son of God. So Jesus reminded them that as being gods (meaning like God not God Himself) with the good and evil knowledge they should be able to discern if He's doing good or evil. But He was saying they weren't looking at His works which were from the Father and were good works not evil. So He reminded them to look and see and believe in Him. Yea or nay? Yes, I agree We are already created in His image; Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. So of course God didn't mean like Him as in His image because we are already created in His image. He meant, as you said, like Him as in having the knowledge of good and evil just as God has the knowledge of good and evil. The reader must also remember the Bible uses the word "as" there in Genesis 3:22, which is simile(comparing two unlike things). So God is not saying we are Gods like Him, but that we are like him by just having the knowledge He has of sin, as you said.

So God is not saying we are Gods like Him, but that we are like him by just having the knowledge He has of sin, as you said. Yes, the simile is important because we are not God for there is only one God by we are gods only in terms of having His knowledge of good and evil since we originally had only knowlege of good. And when Satan tricked Eve he said she will be like (simile) God too in knowing good and evil. Genesis 3:5 For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” So a simile is either like or as. And Satan used "like" in the above verse and God used "as" in the below verse. Genesis 3:22 And the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever: So when Jesus spoke to the the Jews and said, "Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?" John 10:34 He was reminding them about their knowledge of good and evil that God has and we have too so we can tell the difference based on what He was doing before them. So He was like judge if I'm doing good or evil since you have this ability. Also it's important to note this verse in John that Jesus claimed to be God again. Look how it's written closely... Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods? John 10:34 Jesus told them He, Himself, said this in scripture that they use as law because Jesus did say that in this verse in Genesis Genesis 3:22 And the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever: God just keeps directing us to things He said before that we have in scripture. He doesn't use some foreign knowlege or sources but His own word always which is only found in scripture. Comments?

He doesn't use some foreign knowlege or sources but His own word always which is only found in scripture. Comments? Agreed. There's also this correlating passage in Psalm; Psalm 82:5-7 5 They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course. 6 I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High. 7 But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes. This further illustrates how we are not God, because as it says we will die like men, while God cannot die. Something interesting that I would like to point out though, is that in the KJV it says this in Genesis 3:5; Genesis 3:5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. It says it a little different and is a little more consistent with other scripture, but it has the same meaning... ...but what I wanted to point out is as we know, Satan is notorious for mixing truth with lies. This is what he is doing here. He tells Eve that she and Adam will be as gods, which is the truth, as God even said this in Genesis 3:22, in Psalm 82:6, and as Jesus said in John 10:34. The lie that the Satan told was what he said before verse 5 in verse 4, which was; Genesis 3:4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: It was a lie because God said they would die if they did eat of the tree; Genesis 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. And sure enough, because the word of God is righteous and true, they did die. And as we know, death entered into the world by sin and that sin was disobedience; Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: Romans 5:19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. Then man was appointed once to die because of this transgression; Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: But by Christ's obedience, many shall be made righteous and obtain life; 1 Corinthians 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.Romans 5:19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. Any comments? I agree with all that. Now going to mention some other things that God is or does. The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. Psalm 18:2 As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him. Psalm 18:30 For who is God save the LORD? or who is a rock save our God? Psalm 18:31 It is God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect. Psalm 18:32 The LORD liveth; and blessed be my rock; and let the God of my salvation be exalted. Psalm 18:46 In the first verse that I posted it says that God is a rock, a fortress, a deliverer, and a buckler/shield for us. He is also our strength, our salvation, and our high tower. Basically, it means that God is everything that we need as humans. The second verse let's us know that His way is always perfect so His word can be trusted no matter what. Which is very important to those who are not sure whether to believe scripture over some "religious" person. The third verse reminds us that the only rock is God and that He's the only God. There is no other to fulfil his role, ever. And fourth verse theb says if we trust and follow in His perfect way then our way will be perfect because it's His way. And last verse reminds us to exalt or praise God for what He is for us since He's God and everything we need. Hence, why He must be number 1 in our lives. Any comments?

Totally agree God should be number one in our lives and He is everything we need Here are more verses to support this; 1 Samuel 2:2 There is none holy as the Lord: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God. 2 Samuel 22:3 The God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour; thou savest me from violence. Deuteronomy 32:4 He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he. Matthew 7:24-29 24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: 25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. 26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: 27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it. 28 And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine: 29 For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes. 1 Corinthians 10:4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ. Genesis 15:1 After these things the word of the Lord came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward. Psalm 3:3 But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head. Psalm 28:7 The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him. Psalm 33:20 Our soul waiteth for the Lord: he is our help and our shield. Psalm 84:9 Behold, O God our shield, and look upon the face of thine anointed. Proverbs 30:5 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. Psalm 61:1-4 1 Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer. 2 From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I. 3 For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy. 4 I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings. Selah. Proverbs 18:10 The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe. Proverbs 3:5-6 5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. 2 Samuel 22:31 As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the Lord is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him. Psalm 34:8 O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him. Psalm 62:8 Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah. There are many more than these that I shared here Seeing the word "buckler" reminded me of the armour of God in Ephesians which has everything to do with trusting in Him and His word; Ephesians 6:10-18 10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

I agree with all that. Now going to mention some other things that God is or does. Totally agree God should be number one in our lives and He is everything we need Here are more verses to support this; 1 Samuel 2:2 There is none holy as the Lord: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God. 2 Samuel 22:3 The God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour; thou savest me from violence. Deuteronomy 32:4 He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he. Matthew 7:24-29 24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: 25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. 26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: 27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it. 28 And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine: 29 For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes. 1 Corinthians 10:4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ. Genesis 15:1 After these things the word of the Lord came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward. Psalm 3:3 But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head. Proverbs 30:5 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. Psalm 61:1-4 1 Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer. 2 From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I. 3 For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy. 4 I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings. Selah. Proverbs 18:10 The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe. Proverbs 3:5-6 5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. 2 Samuel 22:31 As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the Lord is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him. Psalm 34:8 O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him. Psalm 62:8 Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah. There are many more than these that I shared here Seeing the word "buckler" reminded me of the armour of God in Ephesians which has everything to do with trusting in Him and His word; Ephesians 6:10-18 10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; With discussing God as the rock and to trust in Him without leaning on our own understanding...I think it's important to now point out why. God is light. This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. 1 John 1:5 He is the way to go by is what thr verse says. He has no darkness so we won't be blinded or lost in our path if He's leading us. How can this be certain? Well, God isn't a liar so we can trust Him always. That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: Hebrews 6:18 The above verse literally states it's impossible for God to lie so we should place all our hope in Him and be certain of it. God doesn't want those who doubt or are lukewarm. He needs to know He is trusted as people who seek to be trusted need it too. Any comments?

God doesn't want those who doubt or are lukewarm. He needs to know He is trusted as people who seek to be trusted need it too. Any comments? Yes God is light. Those who turn from darkness to light, from Satan to God, are sanctified by faith in Him, and those who do have faith in Him also do the works of God, Acts 26:18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me. John 3:21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. And those who are sanctified are commanded to shine as lights in a dark world, Philippians 2:15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; God has been dividing the light from the darkness since day one, Genesis 1:4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. Darkness is the way of the wicked, Proverbs 4:19 The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble. ...whom God shines the light upon and when the wicked see it they do not comprehend it, Isaiah 9:2 The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined. John 1:5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. There are many passages in the Bible about the blind. Here in 1 John it says darkness blinds us, so it is consistent to say that all other instances in the Bible where it speaks of the blind(that is spiritually blind) are those blinded by darkness, 1 John 2:8-11 8 Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in him and in you: because the darkness is past, and the true light now shineth. 9 He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now. 10 He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him. 11 But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes. John 9 is a perfect example for this topic, John 9 1 And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth. 2 And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind? 3 Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him. 4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. 5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world. 6 When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay, 7 And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing. 8 The neighbours therefore, and they which before had seen him that he was blind, said, Is not this he that sat and begged? 9 Some said, This is he: others said, He is like him: but he said, I am he. 10 Therefore said they unto him, How were thine eyes opened? 11 He answered and said, A man that is called Jesus made clay, and anointed mine eyes, and said unto me, Go to the pool of Siloam, and wash: and I went and washed, and I received sight. 12 Then said they unto him, Where is he? He said, I know not. 13 They brought to the Pharisees him that aforetime was blind. 14 And it was the sabbath day when Jesus made the clay, and opened his eyes. 15 Then again the Pharisees also asked him how he had received his sight. He said unto them, He put clay upon mine eyes, and I washed, and do see. 16 Therefore said some of the Pharisees, This man is not of God, because he keepeth not the sabbath day. Others said, How can a man that is a sinner do such miracles? And there was a division among them. 17 They say unto the blind man again, What sayest thou of him, that he hath opened thine eyes? He said, He is a prophet. 18 But the Jews did not believe concerning him, that he had been blind, and received his sight, until they called the parents of him that had received his sight. 19 And they asked them, saying, Is this your son, who ye say was born blind? how then doth he now see? 20 His parents answered them and said, We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind: 21 But by what means he now seeth, we know not; or who hath opened his eyes, we know not: he is of age; ask him: he shall speak for himself. 22 These words spake his parents, because they feared the Jews: for the Jews had agreed already, that if any man did confess that he was Christ, he should be put out of the synagogue. 23 Therefore said his parents, He is of age; ask him. 24 Then again called they the man that was blind, and said unto him, Give God the praise: we know that this man is a sinner. 25 He answered and said, Whether he be a sinner or no, I know not: one thing I know, that, whereas I was blind, now I see. 26 Then said they to him again, What did he to thee? how opened he thine eyes? 27 He answered them, I have told you already, and ye did not hear: wherefore would ye hear it again? will ye also be his disciples? 28 Then they reviled him, and said, Thou art his disciple; but we are Moses' disciples. 29 We know that God spake unto Moses: as for this fellow, we know not from whence he is. 30 The man answered and said unto them, Why herein is a marvellous thing, that ye know not from whence he is, and yet he hath opened mine eyes. 31 Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth. 32 Since the world began was it not heard that any man opened the eyes of one that was born blind. 33 If this man were not of God, he could do nothing. 34 They answered and said unto him, Thou wast altogether born in sins, and dost thou teach us? And they cast him out. 35 Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God? 36 He answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on him? 37 And Jesus said unto him, Thou hast both seen him, and it is he that talketh with thee. 38 And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him. 39 And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind. 40 And some of the Pharisees which were with him heard these words, and said unto him, Are we blind also? 41 Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth. In this chapter it is made clear that the Pharisees are spiritually blind. They cannot see that Jesus is the Christ because they are blinded by their own self-righteousness and they refuse to acknowledge that the blind man was healed and made to see by Christ because they were spiritually blinded by the same self-righteousness, and not only blinded, but deaf as well, as they asked how the formerly blind man how was made to see and then asked him again after he had already told them how he was made to see, but they could not hear him. At the end of the chapter some of the Pharisees overheard the conversation Jesus had with the formerly blind man and they asked Jesus if they were blind too. Jesus essentially told them that because they say that they see, they are blind, meaning that because they are so puffed up in their self-righteousness that they are blind because of it. Any comments?

With discussing God as the rock and to trust in Him without leaning on our own understanding...I think it's important to now point out why. Jesus essentially told them that because they say that they see, they are blind, meaning that because they are so puffed up in their self-righteousness that they are blind because of it. Any comments? All good Now, since God is light we must be the light too. We must reflect Him if we are His. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. 1 John 1:7 Walking in this light will help cleanse us from sin too as the above verse states since we will live in His image. He's holy and perfect as His children have this "biological" trait too. We resemble our earthly parents in ways and we must resemble our heavenly Father in ways too. That's how people can know who's the biological child of a parent. But some do lie and claim to be in the light but do not reflect God so they lie. He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now. 1 John 2:9 Such we can spot though if we see darkness in them. But God wants us to live in light and it's very important to do so in our daily walk in our new creation of the likeness and image of God. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. 1 Thessalonians 5:5 Because saints live in this light... Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Colossians 1:12 But this can't happen without the old man dying for the new man to live. Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light. Ephesians 5:14 Plus in order to do that we must separate from the way of darkness and Jesus actually came to bring such division. Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? 2 Corinthians 6:14 Then when we are in the light we can see clearly to lead the blind out of darkness too. Christ led us out so we must guide others out too. And art confident that thou thyself art a guide of the blind, a light of them which are in darkness, Romans 2:19 It's what God needs us for too, this very purpose. For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth. Acts 13:47 God needs us to labour and fulfil the work He started. He's relying on us to do our part until He returns again. Agree?

Agree? Absolutely agree We that believe in and follow Him are called to shine as lights in the world, John 12:46 I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness. John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. Philippians 2:15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; Matthew 5:14-16 14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. 15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. And believing in and following Him is to obey Him which is to keep His commandments because we love Him, John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments. John 14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. 1 John 5:2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. We are commanded to love Him, Matthew 22:36-38 36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law? 37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. Those who keep His commandments know Him, 1 John 2:3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. And those who say they know Him and do not keep His commandments are liars and walk in darkness, 1 John 1:6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: 1 John 2:4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. We must be vigilant to keep God's commandments and not the commandments of men and to rebuke and reprove false teachings and commandments that turn from the truth, Titus 1:10-16 10 For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision: 11 Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake. 12 One of themselves, even a prophet of their own, said, the Cretians are alway liars, evil beasts, slow bellies. 13 This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith; 14 Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth. 15 Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled. 16 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate. Ephesians 5:6-13 6 Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. 7 Be not ye therefore partakers with them. 8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: 9 (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;) 10 Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord. 11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. 12 For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret. 13 But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light. And just as the Pharisees worshipped God in vain and kept the doctrines, traditions, and commandments of men... Matthew 15:3-9 3 But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition? 4 For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death. 5 But ye say, Whosoever shall say to his father or his mother, It is a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; 6 And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition. 7 Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying, 8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. 9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. Mark 7:6-13 6 He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. 7 Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. 8 For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do. 9 And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition. 10 For Moses said, Honour thy father and thy mother; and, Whoso curseth father or mother, let him die the death: 11 But ye say, If a man shall say to his father or mother, It is Corban, that is to say, a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; he shall be free. 12 And ye suffer him no more to do ought for his father or his mother; 13 Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye. ...we must be ever watchful for false prophets and teachers today, Matthew 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Matthew 24:11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. Matthew 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Mark 13:22 For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect. 2 Corinthians 11:13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. 2 Peter 2:1-3 1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. 2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. 3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not. 1 John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Comments? All good. So you agree God is the light and we are too because reflect Him? Therefore, whatever God is we must be too? Yes, absolutely

Okay, so the next topic is the Holy Trinity.
The Holy Trinity has been there since the very beginning as recorded in Genesis, Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. Genesis 3:22 And the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:
The words "us" and "our" show us that there was indeed a Trinity in the beginning. Some would say that the us and our are angels with God, but angels cannot create, only God can create. But we also have a direct admission in the Bible of the Holy Trinity, 1 John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. ...the Word being Jesus Christ. And we are also commanded to teach and baptize in the name of the Holy Trinity, Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Some would say that Jesus is not part of the Holy Trinity, but this is wrong. In the gospel of John it says, John 1:1-2, 14 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
These verses verify that Jesus being the Word and God manifested in the flesh and was indeed there at the beginning of the creation. Jesus even says Himself in the gospel of John, John 8:58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. ...telling the Pharisees that He was there before Abraham existed, that He is the "I AM" that Moses spoke to on Mount Sinai, Exodus 3:14 And God said unto Moses, I AM That I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.
The Holy Spirit is also God and a part of the Holy Trinity. God's Spirit has been there from the beginning, Genesis 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
The Holy Spirit comes from God the Father in heaven and is also known as the Comforter, John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. John 15:26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me: Galatians 4:6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
And the Father in heaven is God, John 6:27 Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed. John 20:17 Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.
Any comments?

Any comments? I totally agree. And since we already covered that God is a Spirit earlier...His form in flesh was temporary. He is not a human nor even looks as a human because no one has ever seen God. His Jesus flesh was simply a disguise to come to help us and so we wouldn't die with Him interacting with us as the verses state. God isn't a human... John 4:24 24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” No one ever seen God but only in thr disguise of Jesus who revealed God to them... John 1:18 18 No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him. And as you said...God was there first since He's the creator. He created everything so nothing existed with God or before God. John 1 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. So does God who is Spirit, who created everything, who is 3 in 1 Trinity have a mother or father who created Him? No! Mary was simply a surrogate. And everyone knows a surrogate isn't a real mother. And Jesus is older than Mary and created her Himself. Therefore she is nothing but a person as He stated. Here's Him clarifying it Matthew 12 47 Then one said to Him, “Look, Your mother and Your brothers are standing outside, seeking to speak with You.” 48 But He answered and said to the one who told Him, “Who is My mother and who are My brothers?” 49 And He stretched out His hand toward His disciples and said, “Here are My mother and My brothers! 50 For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven is My brother and sister and mother.” So, everyone is like your earthly family (mother and siblings are here). And Jesus was like confused because He doesn't have real parents or siblings so He asked them, "Who is my mother and who are My brothers?" Then he pointed at His disciples, His followers, and said they're His real family. He denied His earthly family and only accepts His followers as family. And so I am also His mother and sister then by this meaning family only not real mother since He doesn't have one. Also Jesus in Disguise is a cool song People who still claim Jesus is human now or permanently human make me laugh. Since after death He went to His natural form and only used human form to appear to them when He needed to otherwise He'd disappear back to Spirit form. And such people would probably call angels humans too when they're spirit as well and only appeared in human form to talk to us or whatever.

And such people would probably call angels humans too when they're spirit as well and only appeared in human form to talk to us or whatever. I agree God is absolutely not a man, but a Spirit, THE eternal Spirit who created all things. We cannot see Him because He is invisible, not of this world, but of a spiritual world invisible to us in this physical world, both of which He created... John 8:23 And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world. Romans 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Colossians 1:9-17 9 For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; 10 That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; 11 Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness; 12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: 13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: 14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: 15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: 16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: 17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. ...and yes, He is eternal, He has no beginning or end, but He is the beginning and the end, the first and the last, 1 Timothy 1:17 Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen. Psalm 90:2 Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God. Revelation 22:13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. Psalm 41:13 Blessed be the Lord God of Israel from everlasting, and to everlasting. Amen, and Amen. Psalm 106:48 Blessed be the Lord God of Israel from everlasting to everlasting: and let all the people say, Amen. Praise ye the Lord. Mary is not the mother of God as you said, that is not Biblical, no scripture supports it. I wouldn't use the word "disguise" necessarily, because that word can insist deception and dishonesty. I would use the word "guise" instead which can mean a likeness, seeming, an outward appearance, or a semblance, but I understand the point you are making and the point of the song you shared and agree yes, they make me laugh as well. Jesus did not take His physical body up into heaven with Him, 1 Corinthians 15:50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. I have heard people say just that before, that men are angels and vice versa. I'm not sure which denomination believes that(maybe Mormons?), but it definitely not Biblical. The Bible makes a distinct difference between men and angels in many places, 1 Corinthians 4:9 For I think that God hath set forth us the apostles last, as it were appointed to death: for we are made a spectacle unto the world, and to angels, and to men. Luke 12:7-9 7 But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows. 8 Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God: 9 But he that denieth me before men shall be denied before the angels of God. These are clear distinctions...and we will even judge angels, 1 Corinthians 6:2-3 2 Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters? 3 Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life? And these angels we will judge, 2 Peter 2:4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; And then there's this passage, Hebrews 2:13-16 13 And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given me. 14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; 15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. 16 For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham. That last verse says angels do not fall under Christ's work here on earth, so then we cannot be angels! Any comments?

That last verse says angels do not fall under Christ's work here on earth, so then we cannot be angels! Any comments? Saying Jesus was in disguise seems cool though since you are like undercover or hiding your real identity. Which Jesus kind of did both. He was undercover as a human to find His way to the cross and He was hiding His identity because He took the role of a servant not God (to serve and not be served) Mark 10:45 45 For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.” But guise works too But what did you mean by this? "16 For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham. That last verse says angels do not fall under Christ's work here on earth, so then we cannot be angels!" The way I read that verse is that Jesus didn't choose to come in the form of an angel as His disguise or guise but as a seed of Abraham meaning human.
