Why must religious schools become private and more expensive? Isn't this a bit unfair? My religious university was about 16k a semester while the public university near me was like 3k a semester. Why such a treatment?

Maybe they are more expensive due to their extra programs and courses. Do they offer special things in those schools in comparison with the public ones?

I went to a public high school which are free but my aunt put my cousin in a religous high school and her mom paid 10,000 a year for her to go there because it wasn't a free school like the public ones. Shrug

In a capitalist market economy, decision-making and investment are determined by every owner of wealth. Note that this owner need not to be an actual person, but it could be an organization or institution. I think you're confusing the economy model it with corporatism.
