I don't know much about Hinduism. But I know that if a nice Indian lady would start to explain it to me, I'd be all ears, absorbing the information just as a sponge absorbs water.

It's Pagan. Not really. In Paganism, all deities are presented as autonomous beings with their own independent identities. In Hinduism, all Gods, and to an extent everything in general, is a "mask" worn by Brahman or Vishnu, depending on the theology. This is also shown in some quotes in the mythology, where for example Vishnu says to Ganesha: "No matter who they worship, they still worship the one." Shavinism and Vaishnavism are Henotheistic, as an example.

this is the statement which modern indian nationalists have been repeating. The word hindutva was coined in 19th century by veer savarkar, and hindu nationalism took birth during british colonialism of indian subcontinent.
technically, hindu nationalism is a myth.

The word hindu was used by bengali poetn Bankim chandra. His definition of hindu was - The one who keeps sword in one hand and gita in another. He coined this term to inspire bengali people to fight against east india comapny's policies and rule. As such, this was not even in context of any nationalism. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bankim_Chandra_Chatterjee

What I know about hindus is that they play cricket, talk about patriotism, and dream to conquer the world.

They even had EUGENICS program to create UBER BABIES. Indologists can make out these words “Our main objective is to make a samarth Bharat (strong India) through uttam santati. Our target is to have thousands of such babies by 2020,” said Dr Karishma Mohandas Narwani, national convener of the project. According to the office-bearers, the project was inspired by Germany, which they claimed had “resurrected itself by having such signature children through Ayurvedic practices within two decades after World War II”. indianexpress.com/article/india/rss-wing-has-prescription-for-fair-tall-customised-babies-4644280/
