Sarkozy made a big mistake...Gaddafi warned him what would happen in case of war..crowds of refugees in Europe.
Plus his idea of the African Union did not like the European globalists and neo-colonialists.

I am so sure the French government is very worried about the currency they no longer use being replaced by a currency backed by a small amount of gold. Cause you can really make a continent spanning currency with $7 billion worth of gold.

Sure, but even when currency was backed in gold, you need more then 143 tons to have a substantial economy. One of the problems with the gold standard, you need to hoard gold to grow the money supply.

and that's why, holding gold turns into power maniacism, and authorities play with the life of people
I would love to see barter system coming back.

Gaddafi ensured free healthcare. Where is the US in terms of building, let alone ensuring free, reliable healthcare. Gaddafi may have shown the world an alternative to the ultracapitalist paradigm, and the powers that be in Europe and the US certainly don't want that.
