Apostles John and Peter preached Jesus as the stone to all people in the below verses. Acts 4:10-12 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Only the stone saves which is also the chief cornerstone.
And these apostles encountered threats and so on from the people. Some apostles fell away later and some held on strong. Are you brave enough to spread Jesus as the stone who provides salvation no matter what?

Ah. Then the answer to your question is yes. I believe, based on the evidence (and lack thereof), that the story of Jesus is a case of myth-making borrowing heavily from the Septuagint and so-called pagan mythology. There may have been one or more humans on which Jesus is very loosely based (eg. Jesus ben Ananias) but the entire story is almost complete fabrication from start to finish. Interesting... You know, there's actually a really good way of figuring out whether you're right about the whole atheism thing. You ever tried praying? To which god?

But there isn't really a difference You and Elizabeth should really invest in a dictionary. They're similar in that they both believe religions are myths.

Yeah, they do news too. I am serious! With that mission statement, if you believe that you are getting impartial news then you really do have serious problems.

Interesting... You know, there's actually a really good way of figuring out whether you're right about the whole atheism thing. You ever tried praying? To which god? You can start with mine and work from there. Or you can just pray generally pray that if there is a God that he will reveal himself in whatever form he takes. As I understand it that's DKTrav88's story of how he became a Christian. He prayed that if there was a God he'd reveal to him who he was and which religion is true, and the God of the Bible revealed himself to him.

Do you know that you can look up the meanings of words online?
They are completely different things.

What atheist biased source? Richard Carrier is an atheist activist..... I'm not allowed to counter a theistic claim with a secular source? Who else would bother?

I'm aware of all that and have already explained why it fails to establish the historicity of Jesus.
Now, do you have a contemporary historian or not?

welcome aboard fellow freethinker to our beloved community Thank you very much. I was just banned from a theist-managed forum run by a Soup Nazi-like character (Seinfeld). That makes me a refugee I guess. I hope this forum has more impartial moderation.
Are there any better quality theists here than the ones I have encountered so far? I was hoping for some intellectual stimulation. ,, Yes, the Queen made me a moderator so views of free thinkers are not dealt the way u faced in your ex group, thats my secondary role . Theists here are confined in their own sub boards of religion, most of them will engage with u respectfully and inquire or present a counter argument but nothing uncivilized. You can engage with them there if u feel like debating as that section receives a lot of response. Apart from that there is a spiritual board from where u may find useful information but it doesn't receive the attention it deserve , u can start a thread there and be sure to get my attention

We don't need one. Oh, I see. This magical man came to Earth, performed numerous miracles, walked on water, cured blindness, fed thousands on a single loaf of bread, turned water into wine, raised people from the dead (including himself), had multitudes follow him and welcome him into Jerusalem and no contemporary historian noticed a single thing out of the ordinary and worth putting pen to paper for. No Roman official thought it worthwhile to send a report to Rome. That's believable. Not.
