Ephesians 4:11-15 KJV [11] And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; [12] For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: [13] Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: [14] That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; [15] But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: Protestantism borrowed the words "presbyter" and "bishop" from the Bible, and the word "pastor" is used as a synonym for these terms. The German congregation uses the phrase nem. Herr Pastor (Mr. Pastor) You asked me where the Bible says about the apostolic line and about the Church Fathers? You yourself cited this place . “Protestantism borrowed the words "presbyter" and "bishop" from the Bible, and the word "pastor" is used as a synonym for these terms. The German congregation uses the phrase nem.” So what? It’s in the Bible, the Bible is God’s word, follow God’s word. You have priests in orthodoxy, the office of priest in the church is not ordained in the NT, hence orthodoxy does not follow God’s word. “You asked me where the Bible says about the apostolic line and about the Church Fathers? You yourself cited this place” The passage I cited says nothing about church fathers or an apostolic line of succession, you’re interjecting that into the scripture.

DKTrav88 Do not answer so ... bring a place from the Scriptures! If this is your only authority.. For from the east of the sun to the west my name will be great among the nations, and in every place they will bring incense to my name, a pure sacrifice; Great is my name among the Gentiles, says the LORD of hosts. Malachi There is no scripture where Jesus tells us to burn incense, how can I show what does not exist? Malachi is OT under the old covenant which is done away with which I showed you was so in two other threads but you cannot comprehend the scripture I showed you shrug

Rememer this please - Christians always brought incense in the Church ... only the post-Calvinists rejected it ... did the Christians really err? But then the gates of hell got over the Church. You just said God lied then No! The general Protestant conception of church history, which says that, since the time of Constantine, the Church fell into apostasy and remained in such a state until the onset of the Reformation, it takes all these and many other biblical truths to be meaningless . If the Church ceased to exist even for one day, then on the same day it would be overcome by the gates of hell. And if this were so, then Christ, describing the growth of the Church in the parable of the mustard seed (Matthew 13, 31-32), would necessarily say that the originally grown plant was cut down and a new seed was sown in its place; but instead he used the image of a mustard seed, which, being small at first, then grows more than all the cereals and becomes a tree.

Why couldn’t an all-powerful God put that in His scriptures so we don’t have to imagine it?

This is not an answer to my question ... write only in essence ... It's a simple yes or no answer. Did God justify him without him burning stupid incense? Yes, but this parable we can not be sure that this is a history fact and that it is dogmatic in worship ... Divine services - repentance, no one canceled prayers ...
