Here's a sonnet for example. Rate how you like this language style. I rated it a 0. XD DKTrav88 here's your chance to give a 10 O thou, my lovely boy, who in thy power Dost hold Time's fickle glass, his sickle, hour; Who hast by waning grown, and therein show'st Thy lovers withering as thy sweet self grow'st; If Nature, sovereign mistress over wrack, As thou goest onwards, still will pluck thee back, She keeps thee to this purpose, that her skill May time disgrace and wretched minutes kill. Yet fear her, O thou minion of her pleasure! She may detain, but not still keep, her treasure: Her audit, though delay'd, answer'd must be, And her quietus is to render thee. Shakespearean Sonnet 126 O thou, my lovely boy, who in thy power

Shakespearean Sonnet 126 O thou, my lovely boy, who in thy power Its actually quite interesting how many people when they imagine how Shakespearean English is spoken they imagine this really stereotypical English accent. But actually Shakespeare sounded kind of like a pirate as shown in this video below. The English accent has changed immensely since then. Original accent starts at 2:20

Yes I know but the old version isn’t even as confusing as actual Shakespearean lingo in my opinion.

It wouldn’t surprise me if I was the only one on this entire forum who likes Shakespeare 😋 when I was in high school only a few people in my class liked it
