Reading Literature makes one feel powerful and free. Literary texts allow the reader the complete freedom to judge things using his/her intellectual and moral predilections to approve of, excuse or condemn the protagonist, or any other character or situation. I, personally, split my personality into two;the judge who approves of and condemns in literature, and the subject who is approved of or condemned in real life. Are you like me?

Most people do not find the time to read. life is so busy and allows no time for reading these days. Writers know this fact and they start writing short stories, very short stories, very very short stories and and now there are five and six word stories. |

The Golden words! I agree underlying every single word, except these:
Reading is powerful thing. And it's powerful since our ability to decipher the nature.
Reading is i.e. mind exercising.
I don't think you believe that texts allow us to complete freedom to judge things. No, it's not enough, and I'm sure you know it. Reading makes us more free, but it is the Trojan Horse, because it imposes itself to us.
